KNIVES & ROSES is a fashion brand based in Toronto, Ontario that was constructed on the premise of the human essence. The ‘knives’ are a symbolization of pain and betrayal, while in contrast, the ‘roses’ signify beauty, purity, and balance. A rose can be pierced with a knife & still maintain its beauty and balance, just as humans are able to endure pain whether it be trauma, betrayal, grief, and still manage to remain solid. It is possible to be broken yet put together simultaneously. To feel empty yet whole in the same moment. That is the essence of human nature and the overall message this brand wants to send.
